Gabriel joined the Global Graduate Program back in 2012 as a Pricing Actuary for AXA Global Direct France. His second rotation took him to Seoul in South Korea, and this year he completed the program and joined AXA permanently as a P&C Actuary Manager in Paris.
We asked Gabriel why he felt that the Global Graduate Program was the right choice for him:
Let’s do this
I love running. Sometimes when I am running I see this mountain in front of me. You need to climb it and you are just at the bottom and it is like ‘Okay, let’s do this’. It’s the same for me with my work – and AXA thinks in the same way. We want to make things better, we want our processes to be faster, more responsive, and we are doing everything we can to make it happen.
Going beyond my comfort zone
I went to South Korea for my second assignment. The biggest challenge was adapting, and fast. For me, that was part of the reason for joining the Global Graduate Program. The opportunity to work in a new country – and the chance to move out of my comfort zone.
A manager, early on
Right now, I am working as a manager in AXA Global Direct France, in the Technical Division. It is quite unusual to be a manager so early on, but I believe that I showed the skills and qualities needed – and my managers here at AXA trusted me and gave me this chance.
